Pack 422
Welcome! We're a proud member of the Tuscarora Council.
This is our 14th year as a Pack. We have had many kids who have graduated from Cub Scouts, joined our Scout Troop, and eventually achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Watching them grow and achieve is very rewarding.
Our goal is that each and every family who joins the Pack is completely comfortable with how the Pack operates. Cub Scouts is a family program and not a drop off event, so parents are always encouraged to help where they can. We feel that parents are the most important part of a child's development. All activities are tailored to the specific age groups. Some of the fun activities we do include family camping, camporees, fishing tournaments, hikes, community service projects, Mudcat baseball games, Summer Cub Camp, and other awesome activities.
We welcome your family to come and visit our Pack, interact with other families, participate in the activities, and have your questions answered.
The Pack holds its Committee Meeting every fourth Thursday at 6:30 P.M at Thanksgiving Baptist Church to discuss the activities for the remainder of each month, and the upcoming month(s). Parents are always welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Council Fees and Pack Dues
-
National Scouting Council Membership fee: $85
-
Tuscarora Council fee: $35
-
Pack Dues: $100
⇒ Pack Dues to cover costs of awards, camp-o-ree fees for cubs (patch), museum trips, Scout Night at Baseball Game, supplies for cub programs, and refreshment offset for Blue/Gold and End-of-Year event.
Cub scouts have 2 uniform groups:
- Class A which includes the appropriate cub scout shirt, neckerchief, cap, and shorts. This will be worn at den and pack meetings as well as when the dens represent the pack in parades or Scout Sunday.
- Class B which includes a pack designed t-shirt and normal shorts or long pants. This is more common for outside activities, some service projects, or around the campsite during camping trips.
⇒ Camping Fees: are generally based on the menu. Each family will be responsible for their share of the overall food costs. If there is a fee associated on the camping trip, for example the Cub Camporee at Camp Tuscarora in October, the cub has their fee paid by the pack dues, but adults and other family members are responsible for their fee based on the number going.
⇒ Swim events: the pack will pay any fee for the cub from the Pack dues, but other family members may be required to pay a fee if the facilities are used.
⇒ Summer Camp: The cub and joining parent(s) are responsible for this fee if the cub plans to attend one of the various summer camp programs.
⇒ Transportation: the family is responsible for providing transportation to and from den-pack meetings. The family is also responsible for providing transportation to outside events due to insurance specifications and individual needs of some cubs.
